You can see why the confusion.I can hear sound through the mini box with headphones and picget magic photo editor 6.10 can use BFD2 through it, but when i load Pro Tools it is coming up with the "unable to locate digidesign" error. The strange thing is, in BFD2, the audio device option for avid mini box is missing as well, thanks Danny. When recording or mixing you will need to make adjustments with memory and buffer size. That version only works with M-Audio interfaces. The best set-up will be running the PT program on your internal drive and recording straight to an external Firewire hard drive.ALL links ARE interchangeable!
M-Powered for M-Audio and not Mbox?
Re: Pro Tools LE Unable to locate digidesign hardware.I have tried everything, reinstalling pro tools, uninstalling drivers, changing usb s something stupid as i can hear sounds through it and it worked before. And don't use any multiple USB hubs.USB although technically faster than Firewire, it is severely more inconsistent in data transfer than the Firewire connection. So you will need the regular Pro Tools version that will work with the Digideign and Avid Mbox series interfaces.I am using Pro Tools LE with the MBox Mini on windows 7, everything was working fine for a few weeks, i moved.C to a different location and now it is not working. The Mbix must be connected directly into a USB computer port by itself!
